The College of Optometry seeks applicants for full-time didactic and clinical faculty positions. Candidates should have a passion for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. The ideal candidate will be able to practice in optometry in California or the ability to obtain such licensure within 6 months of hire date.
Faculty positions:
The College of Optometry specifically seeks applicants with expertise and interest in the following areas:
Optics (physical, ophthalmic)
Human biology (cellular, pathology, microbiology, immunology)
Rehabilitation of the visual systems including optometric vision therapy, neuro-optometric rehabilitation, and vision rehabilitation
Interprofessional clinical patient care
Administration/Faculty positions:
The College of Optometry also seeks applicants for faculty positions that hold the following administrative appointments:
Assistant Dean of Clinical Education, to optimize the delivery of optometric education by supporting didactic and clinical education processes.
Chief of Vision Therapy Service, to lead the Vision Therapy Service at the University’s Eye Care Institute and within the community.
